CASTING DATE – AUGUST 26TH 2022 11 am-2 pm
ROLES:
We are casting for our 4 main roles for our upcoming annual show. Omni, Birth of the Sentinels is based on 4 humans born with the power of the 4 elements, Water, Wind, Earth & Fire. The elementals are spread out across earth and over the course of our show come together to defeat the Fire elemental who acts as our protagonist. To ensure all dancers have the opportunity to play these roles we will be having school auditions.
Casting: You will pick one or more of the 4 elementals to audition for and perform a freestyle/choreography performance showcasing that characters power. You choose the song, style of movement and any other creative input to the character. Short character descriptions are below to give you a starting point, but we encourage you to be creative and adventurous with your audition. All performances must be at least 1:30 long. These auditions are open to ALL dancers.

CHARACTERS CASTING
- WIND CHARACTER
The wind element is fast, swift and exciting. When showcasing wind movements, we would encourage an upbeat character with combined arm and leg movement and lots of energy.
- EARTH CHARACTER
The Earth element is strong, powerful and takes their powers seriously. Solid dynamics and assertive actions and movements.
- WATER CHARACTER
The water element is the most elegant of the elements with precise fluid movement, delicate positioning and a peaceful aura to their personality and character.
- FIRE CHARACTER
Our villain in the Omni show. Fire is confident, powerful and dominant. Our fire elemental has the combined agility of wind and the power of earth.
- NARRATOR ROLE
We are casting a narrator to give context to different parts of the show and help guide the story along. Their job is to explain the story to the audience throughout which is a crucial role, they will do this via voice recordings and some other story telling techniques. This part can be auditioned for by voice over script reading or will be selected separately. If you wish to be considered please let us know. (Please note narrator will still take part in all dances this is an additional role.)
